Suresh Dutt creates sculpture and drawing that inhabit a space between the virtual and the tangible, the visible and the imagined, the constant and the evolving. He is primarily concerned with the perceptual experience stemming from the viewer’s interaction and resulting participation in the work. |

In 2010 Dutt received the First@108 Public Art Award presented by The Royal British Society of Sculptors and Canary Wharf Group. The award of £10,000 included two solo exhibitions in South Kensington and Canary Wharf. Previous awards include the International Artists Fellowship awarded by Arts Council England and Visiting Arts. Research scholarships to Tokyo and New York awarded by Arts Council England, British Council and Crafts Council. His solo exhibitions include the Royal British Society of Sculptors (London), Canary Wharf (London) and Manchester Art Gallery (Manchester). Group exhibitions include Bonhams (London), Talente (Munich), Sotheby’s (London), Axis Gallery (Tokyo) and the Victoria & Albert Museum (London). Dutt's work is held in numerous public collections including Manchester Art Gallery (Manchester), National Museums Scotland (Edinburgh), Museo de Arte en Vidrio de Alcorcon (Madrid), Brighton Museums Collection (Brighton) and The British High Commission (Delhi). His work is also held in private collections both in the UK and abroad.
